The two offer types

Current phase — read this before you build
Smart Offers is currently Phase 1: offer management only. Rendering saved offers on the storefront ships in a later phase — so you can create offers today, but they do not appear to shoppers yet.
Use this phase to prepare your offers and their translations, so you're ready the moment storefront rendering ships.
